Self Adhesive Felt is a compressed synthetic fabric that is used to protect artwork from rubbing and enhance displays with the addition of color. It is also useful for the bottoms of furniture that is likely to shift around often, such as tables or chairs, to protect the flooring beneath. On the reverse side of the felt fabric is an acrylic adhesive surface that is covered with a small layer of paper. To use, simply cut the fabric to desired size and shape out of the sheet, peel off the paper, apply the felt to the object, and let sit for a few minutes. The adhesive should not be applied directly to art pieces as it is difficult to remove, but it is well suited for adhering to mounts the artwork is placed on, such as display stands, risers, or pedestals. Besides being an effective tool for scratch protection, Self Adhesive Felt also has many useful applications in arts-and-crafts. Self Adhesive Felt pieces are 34” wide and sold by the foot. They come in black, brown, white, beige, green, and silver.
