Artifact Wall Mounts are a specialized display solution designed to hold artistic objects. Unlike its other T-Arm counterparts, it does not rest on an acrylic base, and instead is affixed to a wall mount plate, which is attached to a wall with screws. It also comes with an additional rod perpendicular to the T-Arms and post which offsets the armature from the wall and provides additional stability.
Wall Plates
Wall Plates are what attaches the armature to the wall. They are made of steel and are 5/8” tall and 2” wide. They are attached to the wall with screws. For installation, we recommend screwing directly into a stud or using a wall anchor should there not be a stud in that respective location.
Armatures
The “arms” of the “T” are made with 3/32” softened metal, while the upright post is made with 1/8” metal that is much harder to bend. The wall mount T-Arm comes equipped with an additional rod perpendicular to the T-Arms and post which offsets the armature from the wall by 3/4". This sets the wall-mount-specific variant of T-Arm apart from the other T-Arm displays. They may also be used for wall display, but the additional offset provides a better-suited display solution in this case. The armatures come in semi-flat black. The metal display armature should be removable from the wall so that it can be more easily formed (e.g bending the main post it in a vice or cutting it with Lineman’s pliers or a hacksaw). A helpful instructional video for shaping the armature can be found here.
*Note: Avoid putting pressure on soldered joints when bending.
Custom Armatures:
Sometimes a custom sized armature fulfills your needs more effectively than a standard one. You might want a larger or smaller armature, or maybe you need a stronger or more delicate upright. Whatever your needs may be, we can customize or custom build an armature for you.
