The MUSEUMRAILS™ system consists of a weighted base and post, support brackets, and a choice of easily changeable graphics panels, offering a custom appearance, yet the flexibility and reusability of a fully developed modular signage system.  Museum Rails is designed to be exceptionally sturdy and easy to use creating a lasting solution for interpretive rails and visitor separation.

We currently offer 2 system heights. The height of the system is measured to the top edge of the graphic rail.  Both the 39 and 36 inch systems are very popular and easy to engage with.  The height of the system you choose truly comes down to preference. (Custom heights available by request)

• Now includes angle adjustable graphic brackets for 30º, 45º, and 60º graphic panel displays to help keep our system ADA and NPS-HFC Compliant.   

• Now Includes Graphic Panel end strips to contain your graphics and prevent visitors from tampering with your displays.  

It's recommended to begin with a Starter unit for each location you want graphics rails and then build out a kit around it. 

• The Starter Unit includes: 2 posts and bases, Angle adjustable graphic brackets, cap, spacers, interchangeable graphics rail, graphic rail end strips.

After you have a Starter unit you may wish to extend the Interpretive surface with addition posts and graphics panels.  

• The Additional Unit includes: 1 post and base, Angle adjustable graphic brackets, spacers, interchangeable graphics rail, graphic rail end strips.

How you choose to produce graphics for your reader rail is up to you.  We offer a template below that should help in the production graphics, but should you need assistance please let us know.  We offer a few options for graphics production.  

• Upper acrylic panel option- this is a 1/4-inch piece of acrylic that is fitted to the graphics panel.  With this option you can Print your own graphics and insert them behind the acrylic.  This is useful all around but it really shines when you plan to replace or update your content often. 
  
• Graphic panel option- This option is a finished graphic panel.  We work with you to ensure your graphics are print ready and then we produce a Matte Vinyl wrapped ACM panel with your content.  These graphics panels are high quality with an extremely professional finish.  These use UV ink and can withstand direct sunlight exposure.  
  
• If you need extra heavy duty or exterior grade graphics panels let us know and we can produce graphics panels that are covered by a 10 year fade warranty.  This type of panel has an extended lead time and requires a custom quote. 

Graphics Panel Specs:

The rail accepts 1/4” thick x 10” high x 42” long Panels – either as one piece or any combination of lengths adding up to 42”. The view-able area is 9.5"H The channel depth is .3125"

To continue your Museum rail system and create a complete system we have created Barrier Rails and Lower acrylic panel kits.  

• Barrier rails kits include: 1 Post, 1 Barrier Rail, and a variety of spacers.  Barrier Rails are 2" square Aluminum bars with custom made brackets.  The completed assembly creates a 46 inch wide section that is useful as a non-interpretive surface. 
  
• Lower Acrylic Panel Kits include: 1 Acrylic panel 21" x 44", 2 upper brackets, and 2 lower anti-swing brackets. The Lower acrylic panel is very successful at providing a clear impenetrable barrier.  Use the Panel kit where you need to keep visitors away from objects and a typical museum barrier isn't robust enough.  The completed assembly creates a variable width enclosure that's 46-47 inch wide. 

Allow approx. 1 to 5 weeks for delivery depending on size and quantity.
